Keep Trying

Every great man and woman’s story I’ve read about has had multiple failures before they actually found something that made them a success. Thomas Edison failed 10,000 times before inventing the light bulb. Walt disney was fired from a newspaper for “lacking imagination” and having Continue Reading →

Eye on goal

One of my favorite quotes comes from Helen Keller who at 19 months of age became blind and deaf.  When asked about her feelings about her disability she responded and said, “I’d rather have vision with no sight, then sight without vision.” I love this Continue Reading →

Everyday is a new beginning. It's not what happened yesterday; it's about what you are going to do today to move forward. Don't let past disappointments hold you back. The past doesn't equal the future. There have been times when I've had a really day, but I did not let it effect the rest of my week. Real strength is when you can keep a positive mental attitude dispite your disappointments. -Obi Okere, REALIZE YOUR PEAK #behappy #positivity #positive #positivemessage #findinspiration #motivation #graditude #success #win

I love my close friends and family because they shoot the truth to me straight.  Although I have a love and hate relationship with their honestly, I can appreciate it because it shows me that they care.  Sometimes we think that we should distance ourselves from all negative people.  The reality is that they're possibly not being negative.  They are just telling you the truth. The easiest way to stay grounded in reality is to keep people around you that are willing to give you a reality check.  The challenge is in differentiating between those who have your best interest in mind and those who don't. - Obi Okere, REALIZE YOUR PEAK #behappy #positivity #positive #positivemessage #findinspiration #motivation #graditude #success #win

No matter how much we try, it's impossible for anyone to have full control over things that happen. The only thing that we have control of is ourselves and the way respond to what happens. If we could control our surroundings, we'd have no surprises, disappointments, or unexpected occurrences. That would be boring. The game of making each day a great one and constantly moving towards your goals is maintaining your positive mental state despite what happens. This means constantly being unscathed and adaptive to the surprises, disappointments, and unexpected occurrences. While chaos happens around you, continue to maintain serenity inside of you. Have a great day! -Obi Okere, REALIZE YOUR PEAK #behappy #positivity #positive #positivemessage #findinspiration #motivation #graditude #success #win #happymonday #Picturerepost @rhirhiru

One of the most challenging things to do is to recognize when things are within your area of control and when they are not as it happens. Sometimes this can be a challenge for me. What I learned is that worrying about things that I have no control of not only ruins my current moment; It messes up my next one. So I learn to simply LET GO. It's much more productive for me to focus on the things that I can directly influence. -Obi Okere, REALIZE YOUR PEAK #behappy #positivity #positive #positivemessage #findinspiration #motivation #graditude #success #win #Picturerepost @theetiffmarie
